Liberty FFA Trap Team

The Liberty High School FFA Trap Team competed in the Houston FFA Trap Shoot on October 8, at the Big Piney Sportsman Club in Houston, MO.  Liberty's Team One:  Rob Davis, Hoyt Layman, Jacob Fisher, Hayden Foster, and Rob Mantel took first place.
Traveling to Linn Creek, MO to compete in the MYSSA (Missouri Youth Shooting Sports Assoc) Fall Classic October 9. Team One placed 3rd in the FFA division, out of 58 teams.  Rob Davis was able to shoot his first 100 birds straight to place 2nd high overall shooter, out of 581 competitors. He then advanced to a shootout against a college junior that lasted 75 rounds.
Hoyt Layman was the 5th top individual shooter from the FFA division, out of 290 shooters. Layman had a score of 98/100 birds.
Congratulations to all the shooters, Coaches Ethan & Krista Nicholson, Derrick Radford and all the parents that came out to support the shooters.
