Liberty School Board meets tomorrow

The R-III Mountain View-Birch Tree School Board will meet tomorrow, February 17 at 6:00 p.m. in the Mountain View Elementary School Media Center.
This month, the school board will vote on the Summer School schedule. According to the published agenda, Superintendent Don Christensen is recommending summer school to run from June 1 to 30.
The school board will also vote on the 2022-2023 school calendar, which has not changed since the calendar was presented at the December meeting. Next year’s calendar differs from those in previous years because it increases instructional time by ten minutes in the morning and twenty minutes in the afternoon. It decreases the number of school days and allows for extended Thanksgiving and Christmas vacations in the first semester and numerous three-and-four-day breaks in the second semester.
The board will also hear updates on job descriptions and other policies in the district as well as administrative and financial reports.
School board meetings are open to all parents and members of the public.
