MSU-WP tuition, fees for 2022-2023 academic year

The Missouri State University Board of Governors Executive Committee yesterday, April 20, approved increases in tuition and fees for the 2022-2023 academic year at Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP).
Basic tuition for in-state students will go up $5, from $136 to $141 per credit hour, a 3.7% increase.
Out-of-state students will pay $282 per credit hour in basic tuition for FY2023. This is a $10 increase over last year's $272 per credit hour rate.
"We understand the impact tuition increases have on our students, and we carefully weigh those impacts when we consider the needs of our campus and the costs of maintaining the quality of our programs," MSU-WP Chancellor Dennis Lancaster said. "Our goal every year is to keep tuition affordable for our students, but sometimes adjustments are needed to address the inflationary costs for operations, and this is one of those years."
Lancaster noted that increased expenses for the campus include office and custodial supplies, utilities, campuswide insurance and the university's MOSERS retirement plan contributions.
Other fee increases
Other fee increases were approved today, as well.
- Dual credit fees will go from $68 to $70 per credit hour.
- Dual enrollment charges will go from $85 to $88 per credit hour.
- Online course fees will go from $166 to $171 per credit hour.
