Willow Springs students win big in Alpha Rho Tau Art Show

Willow Springs High School participates in the Alpha Rho Tau Art Show every year. This year, Houston hosted the show. Eight area high schools entered artwork. Willow Springs Bears earned two Best of Show awards, and many other entries placed. Best of Show and first place winners are pictured above, and other winners include:
“Faceless Beauty”, by senior Kaylee McCary, third place in Watercolor
“Moth”, by sophomore Heidi Wehmer, honorable mention and student choice in Wood Burning
“Jewelry Box”, by senior Dakoda Smith, second place in Wood Sculpture
“Living Statue”, by senior Kaylee McCary, third place in Pen and Ink-Black
“Tears”, by freshman Karis Cochran, third place in Pencil-Figure
“Trippy”, by multiple students, second place in Group/Collaborative-2D
“Cozi Cardboard Home”, by senior Mckinsey Smith, honorable mention in Mixed Media Sculptures
“The Aubrey’s”, by junior Tay-Zha Perry, honorable mention in 2-D Collage
“Volleyball Portrait”, by Natalie Bruning, second place in Black and White Portrait
“Miniature GT 350”, by Santiago Moreno, fourth place in Black and White Still Life
“Snoopy”, by Michael Buster, second place and Students’ Choice Award in Black and White Animal
“Cotton the Goat”, by Sydney Kinsall, fourth place in Black and White Animal
“Paisley in Vogue”, by Madison Bay, second place in Computer Manipulated
