David M. Gohn Completes Term as MBA Treasurer

David M. Gohn, president/CEO of West Plains Bank and Trust Company, has completed a one-year term as treasurer of the Missouri Bankers Association. Gohn was recognized for his service at MBA’s 131st Annual Convention and Trade Show held July 13-16 at the Chateau on the Lake Resort in Branson. As treasurer, Gohn supervised the financial affairs of MBA to ensure conformity with the annual budget. He also chaired MBA’s Budget and Audit Committee. 
“During his time as MBA treasurer, David’s knowledge of our industry and his commitment to the well-being of his customers and community served him well as he guided our association in its pursuit to strengthen economic prosperity in our communities,” said Max Cook, MBA president and CEO. Gohn has served as president/CEO of West Plains Bank and Trust Company since 2017. He joined the bank in 2005 after serving as an associate attorney with Husch and Eppenberger LLC (now Husch Blackwell) in Springfield. In 2009, Gohn was named the bank’s president and chief operating officer. Gohn has served on several MBA boards and committees, including the MBA Board of Directors, MBA Bankers Benefit Corp Board of Directors, Budget and Audit Committee, and Regulatory Affairs Committee. He also served as chairman of the VEBA Board of Trustees and the MBA Young Bankers Leadership Board of Directors. He is a member of MBA’s Bank Counsel Section. The Missouri Bankers Association is a statewide trade and professional organization in Jefferson City that represents the interests of more than 240 banks and savings and loans in Missouri. MBA serves as the principal advocate for the Missouri banking community and provides educational opportunities, products and services that assist bankers with enhancing their banking operations.
