On Saturday, May 11, Good Graces Pharmacy enjoyed their annual Friends and Family Cookout. Good Graces Pharmacy would like to thank the community for such a great turnout for food, show cars, and friendship all while thanking God for such wonderful weather, the pharmacy said in a release.
"It was a busy weekend with graduation parties, Mother's Day on Sunday, and a weekend reprieve from the typical Missouri rain showers. Even with all the activities going on, there were 28 cars lined up to win Best-In-Show, both in Classic and Modern classes. Nearly 300 hamburgers and 150 hotdogs, prepared by Willow Springs' own grillmaster Adam Webb, all sponsored by or purchased locally at G&W Foods of Willow Springs and Westside Family Life Center. All the food was provided free of charge for all who came out to the annual Friends and Family Cookout," the release said.
Good Graces Pharmacy would like to thank this caring community for helping make this day so much fun and assisting with giving away over $1,100 worth of prizes. These donors included: H and M Ranch, Kathy Collins' The Mane Place, FCNB of Willow Springs, West Plains Bank of Willow Springs, Main Street Wellness, C and R Gun/Lee's Tire, Bailey Chevy, Randy's Automotive and Small Engine, Ja Nail's and Lashes, CrossHairs, Pizza Americana, US Bank of Willow Springs, Town and Country, and Friga Tire.
Winners of the door prizes were: Davis McKinley, David Scarbough, Linda Grant, Faye Green, Dustin Dyer, Earl Wilson, Cindy Collins, Rodney Aldridge, Dennis Coulter, CL Stage, Georgia Williamson, Jackie Colter, Jeff Watts, Dominic Evans, Kevin Evans, Danny Wilson. The Grand Prize gift bag donated by C and R Gun (near $150 value) was won by Patrick Nacey.
Special thanks to Three Rivers Hospice for providing information on local care options for the surrounding communities. Three Rivers Hospice also gave away a hanging fern to Steve Lane.
Out of all the magnificent automobiles present, Best in Show for two categories were chosen by community attendees of the Friends and Family Cookout: Classic (Pre-1980) and Modern (1980-Present). Melvin Burgin's 1934 Ford Coupe won the Best in Show - Classic class while Richard and Brittany Deluna with their 2016 Ford Shelby took the Best in Show - Modern class award. Each Best in Show was given gifts provided by Friga Tire and Good Graces.
Good Graces Pharmacy plans on Saturday, May 10, 2025 (the Saturday of Mother's Day Weekend) for another great cookout and even more fun for all.
