Demonstration Scheduled TODAY in West Plains

"This is governmental overreach and an impingement of the very freedoms and Constitution!"

A peaceful protest in opposition of the proposed ordinance that would require face coverings in the city of West Plains is scheduled today at City Hall. 

“We need to be a voice for our community. Today at 5:30pm, City Council will be doing the first reading of the Ordinance regarding the potential mask mandate. We, along with others, will be assembling in peaceful protest....If you feel as we do, would you PLEASE join us! This is governmental overreach and an impingement of the very freedoms and Constitution! Please come stand with us at West Plains City Hall today, and let your voices be heard!!!,” said one organizer, Susan Hickey.

Demonstrators will assemble between 3:30 and 4:00 today, Monday August 24. Shirts will be available for purchase, and participants are asked to bring signs.
