Raffle, art, and local impact at community cat event Aug. 9

Friends of Ferals invites the public the #FoFCatsRock – Spay It Forward Celebration, happening Saturday, Aug. 9 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The American Legion, located at 1113 N. Walnut St., Willow Springs, Mo.

This event marks the culmination of a summer-long effort providing spay and neuter services for community cats, many of whom were born outdoors, living without owners, and facing a harsh future.
Thanks to a matching grant from the United Spay Alliance Community Cats Grant, every dollar raised during the celebration will be matched - up to $2,000 - doubling the impact for cats, caretakers, and communities throughout the region.

During the event, there will be the reveal of the #FoFCatsRock Scavenger Hunt, featuring hand-painted cat rocks by local youth, artist Sandy Whitaker, and a few brave adults; a raffle and auction prizes; delicious food, including Alpha-Gal friendly options; and insight into how targeted Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and accessible spay/neuter is building healthier, more peaceful neighborhoods.

Friends of Ferals currently serves a 25-mile radius around Willow Springs, including Mountain View, Pomona, Cabool, and portions of West Plains and Mountain Grove. Services are provided entirely by volunteers and local caretakers who trap, transport, and look after these cats ensuring they are safely sterilized and returned to the only place they've ever called home.
