Accused Arsonist Sentenced to 12 Years

Brandy R. DeWolfe, of Houston, has been sentenced to serve twelve years with the Missouri Department of Corrections as the result of two cases filed this year. DeWolfe was charged in February with assault, armed criminal action, and burglary after he attacked a man and woman with a wine glass in a dispute over drugs in Mountain View. DeWolfe pled guilty to the burglary charge on July 16.
DeWolfe also faced a first degree arson charge from February for the December 18 burning of a building containing apartments and a business on Fifth Street in Mountain View. On this charge, DeWolfe entered an “Alford plea,” meaning he asserts his innocence, but acknowledges the prosecutor had enough evidence to convict him.
The twelve year sentence was handed down by the Honorable Steven Privette, and will be served concurrently for both charges.
