Activity Kits at The Mountain View Public Library

The Mountain View Public Library has kits available for checkout. Activity kits for all ages can be checked out for three weeks.

 

Kits include:

   -Loom for weaving potholders with refill materials available.

   -Cake pans for decorative cakes, plus cake decorating tips and instruction book, knitting and crochet kits which include needles, hooks, yarn, and instructions. 

   -A coloring bag with books and colored pencils, Twister game, Narwhal, Chutes and Ladders, and card games with a deck of cards and game instructions can all be taken home.

   -Flashcards and charts to learn multiplication tables and many other kits can be checked out for home use.

 

There is also a small puppet stage and also equipment to play a game of Quidditch.

 

Soon, bags for young children who are ready to learn numbers and letters will be available. The bags include erasable pages with an erasable marker in the bag. Some bags will have phonics flashcards and number flashcards. If you are in the library with your young preschooler, there are electronic and hands-on activities available for use in the library.
