Do you want to run for the school board?

Filing for candidacy for the Willow Springs R-IV school district opens on Dec. 5 and will continue until Dec. 26. Current School Board President Mac Gum’s seat will be up for reelection, as will member Scott Foster’s. The vacant seat with a one-year term currently filled by Debbie Bryan is also up for reelection. The other two seats are three-year terms.
The Willow Springs R-IV School District will accept declarations of candidacy at the superintendent's offices located at 201 W. High Street, Willow Springs. The election will take place April 2.
The three candidates on the ballot who receive the most votes on election day will win the seats.
