Double fatality crash outside Cabool

An SUV overturned into a tractor-trailer head-on Friday afternoon outside Cabool. The occupants of the SUV both died in the crash. Driver LaRae English, 31, of Bridgeport, AL, and passenger Christopher J. Thomas, 42, of Cowan, TN, were both wearing seatbelts at the time of crash, reports Missouri State Highway Patrol. 

 

English was pronounced deceased at the scene one mile west of Cabool on US Highway 60 by Texas County Deputy Coroner Brent Honeycutt, and the passenger was pronounced en-route to the hospital by Coroner Marie Lasater at 4:42 p.m. The crash happened at 2:40 p.m. The driver of the big rig, Michael Leggs, of Selma, AL, was not injured.
