Duddridge Enlists in U.S Army- 19 Delta Cavalry Scout

Tye Ryan Duddridge, of Willow Springs, recently enlisted in the United States Army- 19 Delta Scout Division. Duddridge reported for duty at Fort Benning, GA Army Base on April 20. There, he will receive 22 weeks of extensive military training. 

The Calvary Scout is responsible for being the “eyes and ears” of the commander during the battle, said submitter Tony Duddridge. They engage the enemy in the field, track and report their activity, and direct the employment of weapon systems to their locations. 

Duddridge qualified for this training by scoring in the upper percentile on the military ASVAB exam. The son of Eric Duddridge and Angela Owens, Tye is a 2014 graduate of Willow Springs High School. He, along with his wife, Katie, have a six-year-old son, Colin.
