GRINCHING FOR A CAUSE

Did you see a green menace delivering pizza in Willow Springs this holiday season? The Grinch, chauffeured by firefighters from Eleven Point Rural Fire Protection District, delivered 90 pizzas for Pizza Americana in December.

The Grinch didn’t need a side gig- he was raising money to benefit the Willow Springs Arts Council. He donated all tips from the pizza deliveries to the WSAC. Pizza Americana matched all credit card tips, and 100% of cash donations were donated- a total of $1,000 raised said Eleven Point Fire Chief Frank Vanhorn.

“The goal was to raise $500,” he said.

“It’s amazing to see the community come together for such a fun and creative initiative,” said Lori Foster for Pizza Americana. “The Grinch may have a reputation for stealing, but this time, he delivered joy—and pizza!”

Dean Aye of The Willow Springs Arts Council expressed gratitude for the support, saying, “This partnership has been an incredible way to bring art, community, and holiday fun together. We couldn’t be more thankful for everyone who participated.”

Funds from this donation will be applied to the WSAC’s annual Kids’ Art Camp this summer.
