The Howell County Commission met on March 30 and April 3.
On Thursday, the Commission reviewed and considered bids from Fabick Cat and John Deere for four motor graders. They did not make a decision immediately.
Also on the schedule was a meeting with newly elected County Collector Janet Crow, “to discuss an agreement for the Collector’s office.” For details on this meeting, see the front page.
On Monday, the commissioners were scheduled to meet with representatives from the Sheriff’s office to review and sign a contract for a grant for canine replacement.
Agendas also regularly include approving accounts payable and recognizing any guests who appear.
Your Howell County commissioners are Presiding Commissioner Ralph Riggs, Northern Commissioner Calvin Wood, and Southern Commissioner Billy Sexton. The commission meets in regular session on Mondays and Thursdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The meetings remain open during the lunch hour and are open to the public.
