The Howell County Commission met on April 13 and 17.
On Thursday, the Commission was scheduled for a closed session to discuss a legal matter. See the next edition of Howell County News for a report of any motions made or votes taken during this closed session.
In open session, the commissioners were scheduled to review and sign letters for the 65775 Stormwater Project and to approve Order 2023-O6, Abatement and Additions of Tax Assessment for March 2023.
On Monday, the agenda included reviewing the March General Ledger and a purchase contract. Representatives from the Christos House were scheduled to appear in anticipation of the commissioners signing a proclamation for Sexual Violence Awareness Month.
Agendas regularly include approving accounts payable and recognizing any guests who appear.
Your Howell County commissioners are Presiding Commissioner Ralph Riggs, Northern Commissioner Calvin Wood, and Southern Commissioner Billy Sexton. The Commission meets in regular session on Mondays and Thursdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The meetings remain open during the lunch hour and are open to the public.
