On February 1, the West Plains Police Department received a call reporting a man inside Wal-Mart following and exposing himself to a female customer. Officers arrived at Wal-Mart, made contact with the male and detained him.
During the investigation, the victim told officers that the suspect, Dylan Hollowell, 24, of West Plains, followed her around the store through several grocery aisles. According to a press release from the WPPD, the man was stroking his fully exposed private parts has he followed the woman throughout the store.
Hollowell was taken into custody and was transported to the Howell County Jail on charges of sexual misconduct. Investigators later learned Hollowell had previously been trespassed from Wal-Mart, and the charge was enhanced to first degree burglary. Burglary charges can apply any time a suspect makes unlawful entry, whether or not anything is stolen. Formal charges were filed by the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office on February 2. Holloway remains in custody with a bond of $25,000.00 dollars cash or corporate surety.
Hollowell has previously been convicted of sexual misconduct multiple times in Howell County and is currently facing sexual misconduct and sexual abuse charges in Greene County.
