Investigation Continues after Shooting in West Plains

At 1:09 a.m. on February 22, West Plains Police officers responded to the 500 block of Pennsylvania for a report of an attempted burglary. Prior to arrival, officers were informed the homeowner had shot a man who was on the front porch of the residence. 

The subject was located by officers and was airlifted to Springfield with serious injuries. 

This is an ongoing investigation. Names of those involved in the shooting have not been released by the police department at this time.
