Main Street Willow Springs to Host Trunk or Treat

On Saturday, October 31, the streets in the heart of downtown Willow Springs will close to make way for this year’s Trunk or Treat event, sponsored by Main Street Willow Springs.

The streets from First Street to the alley between Main and Third Streets and from Center to Harris Streets will close at 3:30 p.m. The closure is a bit larger this year to accommodate a new feature: hayrides.

The Trunk or Treat will last from 4 to 7. Hayrides will begin at 4:00 p.m. and will cost $2 per person. The Southern Ozarks Community Orchestra will perform from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and a DJ will take over the music from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A costume contest will begin at 6:30 with first, second, and third prizes for different age groups. There will not be a haunted house this year.

Main Street Willow Springs will publish social distancing recommendations for participants on their Facebook page. More information will also be available on Facebook as the event approaches. Candy and other donations will be graciously accepted.
