Man Sentenced for January Night of Chaos and Destruction

Dakota Farrell, 26, of Willow Springs has been sentenced to serve five years with the Missouri Department of Corrections after a January crime spree that affected four Willow Springs businesses. On January 14, Farrell was charged with seven felony counts of property damage, four burglaries, and one count of stealing a motor vehicle after tearing through the city in a destructive rampage, breaking plate glass and crashing stolen vehicles. He was arrested that night after being identified in video surveillance footage.  
On June 26, Farrell pled guilty to a single count of second degree burglary and was sentenced by the Honorable Douglas Gaston. Farrell’s five-year sentence will be served concurrently with a 2015 drug possession charge for which he was on probation.
