Man thrown out of WP restaurant, arrested

A West Plains man faces burglary and resisting arrest charges after causing a scene in a restaurant last week. Frank A. Dolezal, 68, was allegedly asked to leave Snider’s Family Restaurant and BBQ on April 12 due to belligerent behavior, according to court documents.
Officer Brent Keepes of the West Plains Police Department responded to the restaurant for a report of a male assaulting an employee.
A female employee reported Dolezal was asked to leave after she witnessed him “being belligerent and yelling” at customers. The accused returned to the premises and pushed the woman on the shoulder repeatedly.
The owner of the restaurant also reported that Dolezal poked his finger in his face and knocked the hat from his head.
Officer Keepes placed Dolezal under arrest. According to a probable cause statement, Dolezal pushed the officer, walked away, and pulled his arm away in the process.
The victims stated they wished to press assault charges against Dolezal, but these charges have not been filed as of press time.
The accused has remained in custody since his arrest, confirms Howell County Jail. His bond is set at $25,000.
Dolezal was scheduled for arraignment on April 13. Online court records indicate the defendant refused to be arraigned “without the presence of his attorney from St. Louis. [Dolezal] left the video area and refused to return.”
The arraignment has been rescheduled for April 17.
