Patriotic organizations share food, fun and fellowship at 'Getting To Know You Picnic'

The Josiah Howell, National Society Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) Chapter hosted a “Getting to Know You” picnic lunch for members of the Ozark Spring Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), and prospective members for both organizations on Saturday, Sept. 7 at Galloway Park in  West Plains, Mo.   
 
Over four dozen guests participated in festivities that included opening greetings by Josiah Howell, SAR Vice President Garry Pirch, who also introduced special guests West Plains Mayor Mike Topliff and wife Pam, former State Representative Travis Morrison, Missouri State Society Sons of the American Revolution (MSSSAR) First Vice President Ken Lawrence, MSSSAR Color Guard Commander Steve Perkins, members of Ozark Mountain SAR Chapter of Springfield and Ozark Patriots SAR Chapter of Rolla. Ozark Spring Chapter, NSDAR Regent  Rebekah McKinney brought greetings and gave thanks on behalf of the chapter for the opportunity for food, fun, and fellowship. Attendees agreed that it was a beautiful day for a picnic and the opportunity to ‘Get to Know Each Other’.
