Short and sweet special meeting

The Mountain View Board of Alderman met in a special meeting on Tuesday, May 20. In an effort to get the city compliant and get all board members on the same page, work sessions have allowed the board to discuss topics without taking up large amounts of time at regular meetings. Items that were discussed during the work session included: the city's financial statement, Sunshine policy, code of conduct policy, employee manual, public complaints, waste water grant and Oak Street culvert repair.

Items on the special meeting agenda included: approval of golf rates; approval of pool rates; presentation of certificate from Mountain View Head Start and approval of Waste Water Collection Grant.

The board approved Mayor Charry McCann to seek out funding for an interim loan for the Waste Water Collection Grant from a motion made by Alderman David Bauer, seconded by Alderwoman Judi Colter.
Before closing the meeting, the board went into closed session for the purposes of hiring, firing, or disciplining of personnel.
