Suspect in West Plains burglaries apprehended

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, Oct. 17, officers responded to a burglar alarm at a business on Porter Wagoner Blvd. A male subject fled from the area and was taken into custody nearby. The suspect was identified as Taylor S. Wilcox, age 31, of West Plains. Wilcox was arrested for burglarizing the business and resisting arrest.
Detectives were able to link Wilcox to numerous burglaries in the West Plains area using items seized from him at the time of his arrest. Wilcox was identified as the suspect shown in the recent Facebook posts requesting community assistance.
The Howell County Sheriff's Office assisted the West Plains Police Department in locating and apprehending Wilcox. The WPPD greatly appreciates their assistance with this case.
Wilcox is currently on probation/parole for burglary and stealing, and he will face numerous additional burglary and stealing charges.
