Three to Run For Willow Alderman Seat

Candidate filing for local elections closed today. In Willow Springs, there are two seats up for election in the city goverment: Alderman Ward 1 and Alderman Ward 2.
The Ward 1 seat is currently occupied by Susan Rackey, and Ward 2 is held by Alderman and Mayor Pro Tem Troy Yonker. Neither of the incumbents have filed for reelection.
The Ward 2 race will be uncontested on the April ballot. Only David Collins has filed for the seat.
For Ward 1, three candidates have thrown their hats in the ring: Kim Rich, Andy Roberts, and Mike Wang.
General Municipal Election Day is April 5, 2022.
