Willow Woman Gives False Name During Narcotics Arrest

On Friday, July 16, at approximately 5:17 p.m., West Plains Police Officer Paul Bradshaw was on patrol when he conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Freedom Drive near Independence in West Plains. During the traffic stop, Officer Bradshaw observed indicators of criminal activity taking place involving the occupants of the vehicle. Officer Bradshaw’s investigation resulted in the arrest of all three occupants of the vehicle and the recovery of approximately forty grams of a substance suspected to be methamphetamine, as well as numerous items of drug paraphernalia. 
The driver of the vehicle, 28-year-old male Sheldon L. Stokes of Tipton Missouri was placed under arrest for driving while revoked. 38-year-old male James M. Brockett Jr, of West Plains was placed under arrest for an Oregon County arrest warrant. A 27-year-old female, who originally gave her name as Paris Cross of Willow Springs, was placed under arrest for second degree drug trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Further investigation resulted in the discovery the female suspect who identified herself as Paris Cross is in fact Jessica Wilson, 29, of Willow Springs. Along with the original charges, Wilson is facing an additional charge of supplying false information. Wilson was also found to have an active, no bond arrest warrant out of Dent County. Wilson is currently being held in the Howell County Detention Center.
