Winona Man Air-lifted from One-Car Crash

Mason Banks, 19, of Winona, was airlifted to Springfield hospital for treatment of serious injuries after a crash on Old Highway 60 two miles west of Birch Tree on September 19. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 9:15 a.m. when Banks’ Ford Taurus crossed the center of the roadway, ran off the left side of the road, and struck a tree. It is unknown whether the driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
