WSCF gives update on Main Street building

Travelers on Main Street in Willow Springs will have noticed new chain link fencing closing the sidewalks on Main and Center around the crumbling building known as 100 E. Main.
According to the Director of the Willow Springs Community Foundation Dean Aye, he told Howell County News that he has been meeting with design engineers and construction companies, “to determine the fastest possible way to ensure public safety.”
He said he expects to have a firm timeline to present to the Board of Aldermen by their April meeting next week.
“We want the public to know that their safety is our top priority, and we understand the urgency that this project requires,” Aye said.
The Board of Aldermen will meet next Tuesday, April 18 at 5:30 p.m. in the city council chambers.
