Amanda Jackson

Amanda Susan DeBoor Jackson passed away at her home in Willow Springs, Missouri on April 7, 2021 at the age of 69.  She was born September 9, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri to parents Trenton Jacob and Melba Jean (Schatzle) DeBoor. 

Amanda grew up in Festus, Missouri and moved to Willow Springs, Missouri after her marriage where she and her husband raised cattle.  Amanda was a long-time employee of Town & Country Supermarket in Cabool, Missouri and later spent 13 years as an employee of MFA in Willow Springs, Missouri.  She retired in 2014 and enjoyed spending her time tending to the cattle and fishing on the farm.  She took two trips, one to Montana where she camped and rode horse trails through the mountains and the second to the Grand Canyon where she enjoyed the mule rides deep into the canyon. Amanda loved spending time with friends and family, especially her 2 grandchildren. 

Amanda was preceded in death by her father Trenton Jacob DeBoor, brother Charles Louis DeBoor, father-in-law Glenn Grover Jackson. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Terry Glenn Jackson of Willow Springs, Missouri; son, Trenton Glenn Jackson and wife, Amy (Aldridge); granddaughter, Dani Breann Jackson; grandson, Dillon Bradley Jackson of Springfield, Missouri; mother, Melba Jean DeBoor of Festus, Missouri; sister, Yvonne (DeBoor) Boyer and husband David Boyer of Festus, Missouri, Barbara (DeBoor) Persky and husband Stuart Persky of Naples, Florida, brother Jim DeBoor and wife Shelley (Schweigert) of Fenton, Missouri, sister-in-law Cheryl Pip” (Vaughn) DeBoor of Crystal City, Missouri, mother-in-law Norma Jean (Smith) Jackson of Willow Springs, Missouri, sister-in-law Glenna (Jackson) Nenninger and husband David Nenninger of Rolla, Missouri, brother-in-law William (Bill) Jackson and wife Brenda (Friga) of Pomona, sister-in-law Deborah Jackson of Willow Springs, Missouri, brother-in-law Russell Jackson and wife Gwen (Harper) of Pomona and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Amanda will be remembered for her generosity and genuine loving character. 

The family has asked in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, an organization Amanda supported throughout the years. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements were under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool, MO.  Online condolences may be made at www.egcfuneralhome.com.
