Marlin Dewayne Moody

Funeral services for Marlin Dewayne Moody, 78, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, in the Rose Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Moody passed away at 10:18 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2022, at his home.
He was born October 26, 1943 at West Plains, Missouri, to Leland Adam Moody and Roberta Pearl Hopkins Moody. He graduated from West Plains High School with the Class of 1961. On March 24, 1968, he was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Katheryn Elaine Lawrence, who preceded him in death June 4, 2007. Mr. Moody owned and operated a dairy farm. He played the banjo, and enjoyed attending the HOBA Bluegrass festivals. He also enjoyed woodworking and working on clocks. Mr. Moody was a Christian.
He is survived by five children, Valarie Rider and husband, James, Neosho, Missouri, Angela Holek and husband, Paul, West Plains, Missouri, Shannon Smith and wife, Judy, Dora, Missouri, Bryan Moody and Mark Stubbs, Pottersville, Missouri, and Delainea Dooms Calhoun, Dora, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Christopher Thomas, Keleena Commons, Joseph Holek, Derek Holek, Matthew Smith, Stephanie Smith, Jazmine Clapp, and Dakota Dooms; seven great-grandchildren, Skyleer Commons, Gabriel Commons, Landon Commons, Leela Commons, Riley Thomas, Felix Reenie-Holek, and Robert Clapp; and one great-great-grandchild, Preslee Commons.
His parents, wife, brother, Melburn Moody, and grandson, Travis Smith, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, in the Rose Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be at Union Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to West Plains High School FFA or HOBA and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.
