William R. H. Taffar

William (Bill) Taffar, son of Dean Taffar and Alma Jean (Harris) Taffar Lahue, was born in Hanford, CA on June 28, 1941, entered into eternal rest on March 4, 2025, at the age of 83.
 
On June 27, 1959, he was married in Willow Springs, MO to Betty L. Stolba. Bill worked at Caterpillar Inc. in Morton, IL for 30 years. Bill was of the Baptist faith. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
 
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Alma, and his brother, Bobby Dean Taffar.
 
He is survived by his wife, Betty of Willow Springs, MO; his daughter, Brenda Connor and husband, Alan of Cary, NC; his granddaughter, Sheri Vettel and husband, Justin of Greensboro, NC; his granddaughter, Laura Aumiller and husband, Eric of Apex, NC; his brother and seven sisters: Linda Marshall of Deer Creek, IL; Bertha Arnold and Julia Bartell of Wenatchee, WA; Mary Jo McGill of Port Angeles, WA; Susie Wilson and husband, David of Malaga, WA; Gary Taffar and wife, Karen of Wenatchee, WA; Janet Cowell and husband, Rick of Camptonville, CA; Joyce Loranger and husband, Bruce of Hines, OR. He is further survived by six great grandchildren; his brothers-in-law, Ronnie Stolba and wife, Mary of East Peoria, IL; and Gary Stolba; his sisters-in-law, Wilma Wood and husband, Jerry; and Della Stolba all of Willow Springs, MO.
 
The family requests memorials be made out to Pine Grove Cemetery. A visitation for Bill will be held at Westside Family Life Center Friday, March 7, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. His funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor David Lovan officiating. Interment will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery following the service.
