Calls for Service

February 9

Corporal Jacob Hamby responded to Private Road 1774 in West Plains for a wellbeing check. The individual looked like they had been in a physical altercation.

Deputy Nicholas Barslow responded to a call for a theft on County Road 8530, West Plains. This case is under investigation.

Deputy Avery Stolba, working under Operation Relentless Pursuit, conducted a warrant arrest on St. Louis Street, West Plains.

February 10

Deputy Leekota Amore spoke to one of the assistant principals at the West Plains Middle School about suspected distribution of a controlled substance.

Corporal Hamby responded to County Road 1340 in Pomona in regard to a disturbance between foster parents and the 18-year-old in their residence. They transported the 18-year-old to OZH for a self-admitted 96 hour hold.

Deputy Barslow responded to a call of theft in the area of County Road 3850 in Peace Valley. This case is under investigation.

Deputy Stolba took a report of identity theft.

Deputy First Class Robert Malone responded to a residence on County Road 6620 in West Plains, for a report of an assault.

Deputy Stolba conducted a traffic stop and arrested the passenger for multiple outstanding warrants.

Deputy Kory Taylor responded to a residence on County Road 8800 for a report of property damage.

February 11

Deputy Kyle Holloway spoke to an individual about a possible stolen vehicle. After speaking to the prosecuting attorney, they decided nothing criminal took place.

Deputy Holloway arrested a subject with an outstanding warrant on County Road 8800 in West Plains.

Deputy Brandon Barnes took a report of a previously occurring domestic altercation. statements. This report will be sent to the Prosecuting Attorney's Office for formal charges.

Investigator Tessa Jens received a report of a missing person in West Plains. This case is

open, pending further investigation.

February 12

Deputy Austin DeShazo responded to a residence on State Route CC, West Plains for a report of a domestic assault. This case will be referred to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's

Office for review.

Deputy Dylan Cook, while performing duties as a School Resource Officer for the Zizzer Pride Academy, received information of a disturbance involving a student and staff members.

Deputy Barnes received a call for service in Mountain View regarding a theft of game cameras off private property.

Deputy Vice took a report of an order of protection violation. He will send charges to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

February 13

Deputy Holloway responded to a residence on County Road 7190 in Pottersville for a stolen vehicle report.

Deputy DeShazo responded to State Route 142, Moody, for a report of a disturbance.

February 14

Deputy Vice struck a deer in the patrol vehicle while traveling on State Route E, returning from a call.

Deputy DeShazo responded to State Route N, Pomona, for a report of a disturbance.

February 15

Deputy Barslow responded to a disturbance in the area of County Road 2690 in West Plains.

Corporal Hamby responded to Private Road 1511 in Pomona in regard to an animal call.

Deputy Ryan took a report of possible child endangerment. 

Deputy Barslow responded to a disturbance in the area of State Route 76, in Willow Springs. He arrested the suspect and transported them to the Howell County Adult Detention Center and will remain on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

Deputy Stolba conducted a warrant arrest on County Road 7140, West Plains.
