Calls for Service
March 13
Deputy Jordon Collins met with an individual regarding a violation of a child custody agreement. Investigation revealed all evidence will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor’s Office seeking formal charges against the suspect for child abduction. 
Deputy Matthew Roberts responded to County Road 1080, West Plains for a report of trash dumped on the roadway.
March 14
Corporal Seth Smith responded to 326 US Highway 160, Caulfield, for a report of shoplifting. This incident is under investigation.  
Deputy Devon Mendenhall received a call for stealing. He took a report for the theft of license plates. 
Deputy Collins responded to a report of a deceased individual at a residence located on County Road 6540, West Plains. No signs of foul play were discovered at the scene. 
Deputy Dakota Millard responded for a well-being check on an individual. Investigation found a verbal argument took place with no physical contact. Deputy Millard advised the individual of judicial remedies and offered a courtesy transport, but they declined.
March 16
Deputy Melanie Roam received of a report of child abuse. An investigation is ongoing. 
Deputies responded to the Pomona area for a harassing road rage incident. They spoke to a caller who reported they were followed by an unknown subject in a pickup from the Willow Springs area to Pomona. They made contact with the suspect and conducted an interview. No charges are being sought at this time. 
Deputy Jared Hummel responded to County Road 7470 in reference to shots fired. He placed one subject on a 96-hour hold for a mental health evaluation, and charges were sent to the Howell County Prosecutor. 
March 17
Deputy Dylan Webb responded to a residence on County Road 3080, Mountain View for a burglary report. The investigation is ongoing.
Deputy Roam assisted an individual with a report of a possible scam. The investigation is ongoing.
Deputy Talon Millard conducted a traffic stop on county road 6800, West Plains for a possible suicidal and intoxicated subject. On March 18, more evidence and statements were gathered and one subject placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges through the Howell County Prosecutor's Office. 
March 18
Deputies responded to a residence on County Road 6750, West Plains for a death investigation. The contacted Coroner Tim Cherry, who responded to the residence. They examined the scene and determined the death to be self-inflicted.
Deputy John Thomas responded to a residence on County Road 9100 in West Plains for a suicidal individual. The individual received medical treatment.
March 19
Deputy Thomas responded regarding a burglary on County Road 8080, West Plains. A report will be forwarded to the investigation division.
Corporal Nicholas Bruno responded to a residence on Illinois Avenue in Brandsville in reference to a disturbance. No criminal charges will be filed as both parties involved declined to pursue charges.
