Incidents
May 25
A male subject was taken into custody on an active warrant on U.S. Highway 160 in West Plains. A search of the subject produced a small bag containing suspected methamphetamine.
A vehicle was observed pulling into a driveway abruptly on State Route P in Pomona. The driver then ran into a nearby field. The homeowners at the location stated that they did not know the driver of the vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle identified the driver but stated that they did not know why the subject ran from the scene. Drug paraphernalia found inside the vehicle. While the driver was not taken into custody at the scene, charges for resisting arrest and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia were forwarded to the county prosecutor. 
An individual came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a stolen vehicle on State Route K. The vehicle was entered into MULES as stolen.
A Willow Springs resident reported an identity theft.
A Peace Valley woman reported that her ex-boyfriend had attempted to hit her with his vehicle and hit her vehicle, which was occupied by her two young children. The suspect had fled from the scene before law enforcement arrived. Charges for domestic assault and child endangerment were forwarded to the county prosecutor.
A domestic disturbance was reported at a home on County Road 7320in Caulfield. No criminal charges were filed. 
A careless and imprudent driver was reported in the area of County Road 6920. Once the vehicle was located, it was determined that it had been stolen. The suspect fled from Deputy Travis Weaver for several miles before jumping out of the moving vehicle. The vehicle was recovered with minimal damage. The suspect was identified and faces charges of resisting arrest, stealing a motor vehicle and property damage.
May 26
A driver was arrested during a traffic stop on State Route 76 in Willow Springs. The driver was found to be impaired. Charges are pending. 
An intoxicated driver was arrested after he was seen driving on the wrong side of Wayhaven Drive in West Plains.
A domestic disturbance was reported on County Road 6850.
May 27
A male subject came to the Sheriff’s Office to report forged checks.
A vehicle theft was reported on County Road 7190.
Property damage and the violation of a protective order were reported on Private Road 2018.
May 28
A motorcycle rider attempted to flee from Deputy Jared Hummel after he initiated a traffic stop on South Harris Street in Willow Springs. The male subject was taken into custody for resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance. 
May 29
A vehicle was reported stolen on State Route W in Mountain View. 
A male subject was arrested for animal abuse at a residence on County Road 5120.
A male subject was arrested for resisting arrest during a traffic stop on Gibson in West Plains.
May 30
A possible arson was reported on County Road 1480 in Peace Valley. The matter is under investigation.
A deceased male was reported at a residence on County Road 2100. 
Assistance was requested by the Children’s Division for a child abuse investigation at a residence on Private Road 2787 in Mountain View.
An individual asked to file a report of a child being furnished with pornographic material. The investigation continues.
A peace disturbance was reported at a residence on County Road 6420 in Pottersville. A male subject was arrested for violation of a court order of protection for an adult. 
May 31
A report was received regarding the passing of a bad check on State Route E.
A domestic disturbance was reported on County Road 8240.
A child custody dispute was reported on West U.S. Highway 160. The Children’s Division allowed the involved children to go with their grandmother for the night and set up an appointment with the family for the following day.
