Incidents 
October 4
A West Plains man reported that someone was trying to open a credit card using his information. The investigation is ongoing. 
October 7
A passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for a traffic violation was arrested on active warrants. The driver of the vehicle stated that the passenger had swallowed a bag that contained a crystalline substance during a traffic stop. The passenger said that he had swallowed a bag, but that the bag was empty. 
Howell Oregon Electric Cooperative reported theft of services at a location on Private Road 6421 in West Plains. An electric meter that was not a Howell Oregon meter had been installed illegally. A report was generated. 
October 8
A West Plains woman reported that she was assaulted by a person she knows. The incident is under investigation. 
October 9
A West Plains woman reported the theft of her 2005 Mercury Sable, which had been parked at a shop south of West Plains on U.S. Highway 63. The vehicle had front end damage. A report was filed for a stolen vehicle.
