Incidents
September 6
A search warrant was executed at a residence on County Road 7830 in Caulfield. Methamphetamine, paraphernalia, and a firearm were seized during the search. A suspect has been identified, and formal charges are pending. 
A male subject on County Road 6620 reported that he was bitten by a dog. The animal was observed and did not appear to be sick. The man advised that he would still get a rabies shot. 
September 7
Controlled substances were recovered from a vehicle during a traffic stop near Independence Drive in West Plains. The driver was placed under arrest for driving while revoked and as a result of the vehicle search. 
Damage was reported to a Dodge truck at a location on U.S. Highway 60 in Mountain View. The reporting party also stated that a wallet was stolen from the vehicle. A report was taken, and contact was attempted with a suspect in the incident. 
A burglary was reported at Fox’s Sawmill, on U.S. Highway 63, near West Plains. No suspects have been identified. 
A resident on County Road 9720 reported that numerous items were taken from outbuildings on the property. No suspect has been identified. A report was generated. 
A resident on Private Road 6891 reported that her dog was killed by a neighbor’s dog. A civil report was completed. 
September 8
A theft was reported from Centurylink on County Road 4620 in Pomona. The thief used a reciprocating saw to cut fencing outside of the facility to gain access. A person of interest has been identified. 
The nonconsensual dissemination of private images was reported. A person of interest has been identified in the incident, and charges were forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor. 
A Pomona woman reported that her stepfather made threats and against her and would not let her have year seven-year-old daughter. Deputies arrived to investigate the incident, but neither party wished to pursue charges. 
September 9
A trespassing incident was reported on County Road 9720 in West Plains. A burglary incident in the area was possibly linked to the suspects involved. The case remains under investigation. 
A traffic stop was conducted on U.S. Highway 63 for speeding. The driver was arrested for driving while suspended. 
Checks, lock boxes and a lawnmower were reported stolen by a resident on County Road 4700. 
A resident came to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office to report the theft of a tax exemption card. A report was taken. 
The violation of a court order was reported on State Route 14 in West Plains. The suspect left before law enforcement arrived but was caught on surveillance video. Formal charges are pending. 
September 10
A traffic accident was reported on County Road 8230, possibly involving a vehicle that been previously reported stolen. The vehicle was a rental, and the driver did not have the vehicle information, other than make, model and color. 
A verbal domestic disturbance was reported at a residence on State Route 14. Contact was made with both involved parties who stated that there was no physical altercation, just a verbal argument. Neither party wished to pursue charges. 
A deceased male was reported at a residence on Private Road 1410 in Pomona. 
September 11
A theft was reported at a residence on County Road 6960 in West Plains. A report was taken, and the incident is closed. 
A traffic stop was conducted on County Road 3780 near Willow Springs for a vehicle with no rear license plate. The driver was arrested on active warrants. 
Property damage was reported at a residence on State Route CC. The case remains under investigation. 
A traffic stop was conducted near Marianna Drive in West Plains for a lighting violation. The female driver was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. 
A traffic stop was initiated on U.S. Highway 63 near Pomona for a motorcycle with no rear lights. When Deputy Benaiah Bishop turned on the emergency lights, the rider took off at a high rate of speed. The suspect continued south toward West Plains, until reaching U.S. Highway 160. Contact was lost with the suspect just west of West Plains on U.S. Highway 160. The suspect was not identified. 
The violation of a court order of protection for an adult was reported on State Route 14 in West Plains. Charges were forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor. 
September 13
A theft was reported at a residence on County Road 2950 in Mountain View. A report was taken, and the incident is under investigation. 
Contact was made with a resident that wished to drop off stolen property at the Howell County Sheriff’s Office.
