Chief Jamie Perkins stopped a red Cadillac for not having a valid registration.  The driver was charged with possession of a controlled substance under ten grams of marijuana.

Calls for Service
September 14
Chief Perkins responded to East Seventh St for a report of an animal that was reportedly not being fed. Upon arrival, Chief Perkins met with the homeowner and he showed the officer his dog. The dog had food, water, and shelter and appeared to be healthy.
September 18
Officer Lisa Noble provided assistance to the children’s division.
Officer Gordon was dispatched to East James St. a vehicle reportedly speeding back and forth.  When the officer arrived, he was unable to locate the vehicle.
Officer Gordon responded to a report of suspicious activity at Veterans Park, but was unable to locate anyone at the park. 
Officer Gordon went to the US Cellular on West US Highway 60 for an alarm.  The alarm was due to an employee who had forgotten to reset the alarm.
Officer Gordon responded to a report of kids climbing the water tower.  The officer spoke with the kids and informed them if they climbed the tower again, they would be cited.
September 19
Officer Noble assisted Emergency Medical Services on West Second St. with an unconscious man. 
Officer Noble performed a wellbeing check on an unconscious man in front of the Jehovah’s Witness Church on State Route 17.
Officer Noble responded to an address on East James St. for a report of one gun shot fired that sounded like it had come from the reporting party’s neighbor’s residence. 
An individual called the police department requesting a wellbeing check on her mother.  Officer Noble went to the residence on West Second St.
