January 19
Officer Caleb Kerley responded to Lincoln Avenue for a report of an assault involving a weapon. His investigation found no weapons involved. No charges will be filed.
Officer Kerley investigated a report of property damage. He found a juvenile punched a hole in a wall. The case will be referred to the juvenile division.
January 20
Officer Daiman Meyer conducted a traffic stop on County Road 1770. His investigation found the driver operating the vehicle without a license. During the arrest of the driver, he found drug paraphernalia. This case has been referred to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor's Office for review.
During a traffic stop, Cpl. Brandon Stephens arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant from Cabool Municipal Court.
Howell County Sheriff Matt Roberts requested assistance from West Plains Police Department Negotiators at a residence on County Road 8040, West Plains.
During a traffic stop, Officer Brent Keepes arrested the driver for an outstanding warrant.
Officer Robert Shell assisted in the transportation of an individual arrested by Texas County Sheriff’s Office for outstanding warrants in West Plains Municipal Court.
Officer Kerley responded to Kentucky Avenue for a commercial alarm. He found an open door and conducted a security check of the building.
January 21
Officer Meyer responded to a request to assist medical personnel at West Plains Motel. The patient reported a sexual assault. This case will be under investigation.
Officer Nathaniel Siegrist responded to W. Cass in reference to a domestic assault incident. This incident will be referred to the Howell County Juvenile Office.
Officer Brandon Vernon responded to N Howell to serve an arrest warrant out of the City of West Plains.
Officer Keepes, responded to Browning St in reference to an out of control juvenile.
January 22
Sgt. Joshua Wichowski responded to the West Plains Municipal Courthouse for a report of a subject being held in contempt of court. He placed the subject under lawful arrest and transported them to the West Plains Jail.
Officer Vernon responded to Lambe Ave for a report of stealing. With no information regarding a suspect, the case will be closed.
Officer Shell conducted a warrant service on Hubert Redburn Drive.
Officers received a call to Walmart parking lot in regard to property damage report. This case is still under investigation.
January 23
Officer Meyer conducted a traffic stop on Porter Waggoner Blvd. His investigation learned the driver did not possess a valid driver's license. During the arrest, he located illicit items within the vehicle. This case will be forwarded to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor's Office for review.
Officer Conner Burnes investigated an incident of possible assault. The victim and witnesses admitted to harassment. The victim's parents declined prosecution.
Sgt. Wichowski investigated a report of a disturbance involving a firearm.
Officer Ivie Powell conducted a requested wellbeing check on Walnut St. He found the individual deceased from natural causes.
Officer Jacob Beadell responded to Stoney for a report of an assault. He found no injuries and no one wished to pursue charges.
Officer Keepes responded to 7th Street for a reported physical domestic. He separated all parties and no injuries occurred. The victim did not wish to seek charges.
January 24
Officer Franks arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant and transported them to Howell County Jail.
Officer Beavers responded to E. Main Street in reference to a reported private property collision. His investigation discovered a subject under the influence of alcohol struck a parked vehicle. This case will be referred to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutors office for review.
