Deputy Chief Ryan Boyle conducted a requested wellbeing check on East Sixth St. 

Sgt. David Hocking responded to East Main St for a verbal disturbance. He assisted in resolving the issue.

January 30

Officer Corey Clark conducted security checks of local businesses. 

Officer Clark responded to a commercial alarm on East Main St. He found the business secure.

Officer Joe Barnhouse took a report of a non-injury minor traffic collision on Main St, near Harris St.

St. Hocking responded to a commercial alarm on East Main St. He found the business secure.

Deputy Chief Boyle, Officers McGinnis and Barnhouse conducted a requested wellbeing check on East Main St.

January 31

Officer Clark conducted security checks of businesses. 

Sgt. Hocking conducted a traffic stop on South Harris St. As he approached the vehicle the driver accelerated and evaded the stop. He shared the vehicle information with Howell County Sheriff’s Office as the vehicle proceeded fleeing on East 60. Howell County Sheriff’s Office pursued the vehicle to Mtn. View. Officers disabled the vehicle, and they apprehended the driver.

Sgt. Hocking arrested an individual with outstanding warrants at Snappy Mart.

Officers Barnhouse, McGinnis, Hocking Responded to the parking lot of a local business, for a private property, non-injury traffic crash. A report was taken and the incident is currently under investigation.

Officer McGinnis took a report of an internet scam. This incident is under investigation.

Officer McGinnis responded to Town & Country for a hit and run non-injury vehicle accident. He located the other party and completed the investigation.

Officer McGinnis cleared debris from the roadway in the south junction area.

Chief Ellison, Deputy Chief Boyle and Lt. Zeller conducted a requested wellbeing check on East Sixth St. 

 

For the week officers: assisted with three animal calls, conducted five requested area checks, assisted six motorists, conducted assistance for two agencies, spoke with two individuals regarding juvenile issues, completed two miscellaneous administration duties, investigated seven reports of suspicious activities, spoke with seventeen individuals requesting or sharing information, returned requested contact with nine individuals, spoke with five individuals in the department, and issued twelve traffic warnings.
