Lady Bears win one, lose one in overtime

First up for the Lady Bears was SCA foe, the Cabool Lady Bulldogs. The Lady Bulldogs controlled most of the game and held the lead for the first three quarters, but the Lady Bears would not be denied as they took over the lead in the fourth quarter for the first time and never looked back. Willow Springs defeated the Lady Bulldogs 51-46. Scoring for the Lady Bears was Chloe Jones leading all scorers with 23, Minge 14, Canado 10, Cox 4.
The Lady Bears celebrated the seniors’ last home game and hosted the Houston Lady Tigers Thursday night. This game was a tightly contested game throughout. Houston led at the half and looked to control the game with a score 17-28 in their favor, but the Lady Bears would not go down without a fight and cut into the lead by outscoring Houston 16-12 in the third quarter. Houston held a 40-33 lead going into the final frame. In the fourth quarter the Lady Bears found the grit to tie the game and force overtime 47-47. The Lady Bears ran out of gas in the extra time and fell to the Lady Tigers 57-52. Scoring for the Lady Bears was Chloe Jones with 17, Minge 11, Canado 10, Cox 7, Atwell 3, Stevenson 3, and Crudgington 1.
