Lady Eagles Soccer team end season in first round of districts

The Liberty Lady Eagles Soccer team concluded their season during the first round of districts as they were eliminated by McAuley Catholic. The Lady Eagles were defeated 6-1, the only goal scored by Freshman Kaylie Wagner. Greenwood went on to defeated McAuley 4-1 for the district championship.
Head Coach Ashley Roegge had this to say about the season. "This season was a challenge for everyone. These girls amazed me every day by overcoming adversity and being able to play down most of the season. Even though the team became smaller, these girls grew closer and became more of a team. I’m excited for the future with these girls!"
Assistant Coach Bailey Wagner added, "I am nothing but proud of this team. This season was full of challenges, but in spite of those, each player rose to meet it head on. True grit and determination with a consistent, positive attitude to boot. I cannot wait to see what next season holds for this group of incredibly talented girls."
