Liberty Alumni and Evangel University football player Koel Orchard

Koel Orchard, former Eagle and current starting safety for the Evangel University Crusaders, was present at Palenske Field in Willow Springs Friday night. Orchard is in his second year at Evangel University and is majoring in sports management with a minor in coaching.
"I have several years of school left and I'm concentrating on that and wanting to follow what God has in store for me and listening to Him," said Orchard.
Koel is the son of Doug and Sheila Orchard of Mountain View. Doug Orchard was an outstanding athlete at Liberty and helped the Eagles take second place at the Missouri State playoffs in Springfield in 1988. Doug is currently employed by the Mountain View/Birch Tree school district and is an assistant coach for the Varsity football team.
