Dr. Amy Ross named MO-CASE award recipient

The West Plains School District is proud to announce Dr. Amy Ross, assistant superintendent of special programs, has been named the recipient of the 2022 Missouri Council of Administrators of Special Education Award (MO-CASE). The award is presented to individuals who have made significant contributions to the special education administration field and have worked for a minimum of 10 years.
Dr. Ross has served as the director of special services and federal programs since 2018. Before becoming a director, Dr. Ross served as a special services coordinator since 2013. She has also served as a special education teacher at West Plains and Glenwood school districts and a social studies and ELA teacher at Dora School District.
"Dr. Ross is making a positive impact on the future leaders in the field and helps to teach others how special education should be implemented in schools," said Dr. Wesley Davis. "We are thrilled to see her hard work recognized by such an outstanding organization."
Ross was honored at the annual Special Education Administrators Conference in Lake of the Ozark on September 26.
