The Flying Greek at the Star Oct. 15

Jason Brasier's documentary 'The Flying Greek' will be screened at the Star Theatre on Oct. 16 at 6:00 p.m. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., and there will be a Q&A after the film. 

The award-winning documentary is about Manoli Savvenas, for more than 40 years a jeweler in Springfield, and his past career as a world renowned wrestler Mike Pappas.  

"I'm excited to bring 'The Flying Greek' Documentary back home and to the place I started directing live theater at," said Brasier in a release. "I'm continuing my tradition of screening my films at The Historic Star Theatre in Willow Springs. I've shown every film project I've ever done there since high school."
