Mtn. View Birch Tree School Board to meet tomorrow

The Mountain View-Birch Tree R-III School District Board of Education will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, Aug. 17 at 6:00 p.m. in the Liberty Middle School Media Center.

The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the presentation/overview of the tax rates. The board will listen to the statement of any person speaking his/her opinion on the school tax rate.

Following the tax rate meeting, the regular board meeting will begin. Items on the agenda include approval of consent agenda, adoption of agenda, student time, and committee reports. In old business, the board will hear a construction update. In new business, the board will discuss items extracted from the consent agenda, exceptions to the monthly bills, monthly financial report, set the tax rates for the 2023-2024 school year, open bids for gas/diesel, discuss and amendment to the salary protocol to add extended days for head and assistant softball coaches, discuss the Safe Return to School Plan for the 2023-2024 school year, special education local compliance plan approval, MSBA School Board Policy approval, assessment plan approval, incident response plan approval, request sale of two school buses taken out of service, and principals reports.
