Mtn. View Friends of the Library group donates to Birch Tree Elementary

Paula Renshaw, Principal at the Birch Tree Elementary School, recently accepted a donation from the Mountain View Public Library Friends of the Library group Vice President Cora Thompson. The money will be put in the third grade teachers discretionary fund to provide books for their students. Thomspon stated, "We are honored and pleased to make this donation and encourage our young students to enjoy reading, especially in an area lacking a community library. We also welcome area businesses and civic-minded groups to follow us in our pursuit of supplying teachers and students with more reading material."
