Ribbon cutting held at Richards playground

Simmons Bank and Richards School held a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially announce the completion of the latest edition to the Richards playground. The Simmons grant provided funds to build a new and improved basketball court for all the students and the young-at-heart to enjoy. With the generosity of this Simmons grant, Richards completed the new court, including the installation of a beautiful VersaCourt Tile surface. VersaCourt tiles will improve the safety of play, reducing the trips and falls that result in injury, all while sporting the Richards Rocket colors. The $24,052 Simmons Making a Difference Grant Award provides another important step toward the district's vision and commitment to the Richards Playground Improvement & Inclusion Project.
