Three Willow Springs Middle School students win National Fleet Reserve Association's Americanism essay contest

Three Willow Springs middle school seventh grade students were local winners in the national Fleet Reserve Association's Americanism essay contest. Each of the students wrote an essay about, "What the United States Flag Stands For".
Emma Spencer won first place and a $75.00 prize. Spencers's first place essay has advanced on to the next level of competition. Brynlie Campbell-Holmes won third place and a $25.00 prize. Riah Young was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation. David Herndon, of the Fleet Reserve Association Branch 364, presented each student with the award and prize.
