Willow Springs Scholarship Club reaches $1 million dollar mark

The Willow Springs Scholarship Club is proud to announce that with the graduating class of 2024, they will award their one millionth dollar in May. The local scholarship club was founded in 1976 with the mission to provide opportunities for students graduating from Willow Springs High School to pursue their educational dreams and training beyond high school.

Since its beginnings, the Willow Springs Scholarship Club has given scholarships to 567 students. The WSHS class of 2024 has been given access to the General Application through the Counselor’s Corner online and may apply by April 1.

The WSSC is completely funded by contributions from local businesses, civic organizations, and individuals. It is through the support of local citizens, past, present, and future, that the WSSC is able to help young people continue their education after high school. Whether it be technical school, trade school, 2-year or 4-year college, it is a goal of the WS Scholarship Club to provide funds to as many qualified students as possible. We offer tuition scholarships in the amount of $3500 and textbook scholarships in the amount of $500. Another wonderful program offered to the previous three years recipients is the chance to re-apply for a WSSC Continuing Education Scholarship.

The Willow Springs Scholarship Club is organized as a not-for-profit corporation in the State of Missouri and has been granted tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service. Contributions to the WS Scholarship Club are tax deductible and can be mailed to PO Box 484, Willow Springs, MO 65793. Funds can be designated in memory or honor of someone, groups, or a class- if noted with the contribution. Education and training are expensive, but important. The board of directors wishes to thank the community for their continued support over the past 48 years that have made this achievement possible.
