Willow Springs High School teacher Meghan Berry was selected as a 2024 McDonald’s Outstanding Educator. Local Hilburn-Vaini McDonald’s People Experience Lead Ashley Loucks presented Berry with the award and a $100.00 gift card.
Local McDonald’s restaurants started this award program five years ago to celebrate area teachers and honor them for exhibiting the ultimate dedication to their students and going the extra mile to contribute to the improvement of education. Berry was selected from a pool of over 400 nominations.
"Our local educators consistently give their best to ensure the success of our students," said local McDonald’s Owner/Operator Andi Hilburn-Vaini. "Meghan truly deserves this recognition, and it’s an honor to celebrate all that she does for children in the Willow Springs community."
Berry was nominated for her enthusiasm as an educator who goes above and beyond to support her students both in and outside the classroom. Beyond teaching, she plays a key role in extracurricular activities, including the National Honor Society, Prom, and Junior Class fundraisers. Berry also shares her passion for crafting by teaching students how to crochet and provides valuable guidance with senior projects. Her unwavering commitment to her students' growth and success makes her an outstanding educator.
